Congratulations and Welcome Back to Peyton Nesmith! May 29th, 2010
Peyton Nesmith has returned triumphantly to the DBG this summer, a newly minted graduate of Auburn University (B.Eng., Chemical Engineering) and accepted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where he will begin his studies towards the M.D. this fall.

Congratulations to DBGer Alexander Bick who won the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Senior Design competition this year!! Since 2005, DBGers have taken three first places and one second place in the annual event. After graduating from Harvard this year, Mr. Bick will start the Harvard-MIT HST MD/PhD program.

Welcome Francesco Pasqualini!! May 20th, 2010
DBGers welcome Francesco Pasqualini, a visiting graduate student from Italy. Francesco has a BcS and MS in Biomedical Engineering and is currently a PhD student in Science of Engineering in the Department of Physics and Material Engineering at Polytechnical University of Marche, Italy. While studying with the DBG, Francesco will look at mechanoelectrical coupling in the heart. Welcome Francesco!

New England Achievement Award in National Engineers Week 2010 May 17th, 2010
Kevin Kit Parker, Thomas D. Cabot Associate Professor of Applied Science in the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), received the New England Achievement Award as part of a ceremony held at the National Engineers Week Luncheon held on February 12, 2010.
